Each year during the holidays we like to share with you one of our favorite nonprofits doing the hard work to make our community a thriving and enjoyable place to live. YouthBuild is a national program made possible by the dedication of the team at Northern Kentucky CAC.
Northern Kentucky CAC’s YouthBuild program assists young adults in completing their secondary education, preparing for their post-secondary education, and in gaining valuable life and career skills.
Through a rich mix of services and training, local youth ages 16-24 are encouraged to explore their strengths and develop their full potential as they embark on adult life. With a combination of service projects and leadership training, YouthBuild participants not only learn to see themselves differently, they learn to see their communities differently.
Some of the exciting things YouthBuild helps young people achieve:
- Earning their High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Real-World Work Experience
- Construction Skills Training
- Customer Service Excellence Training
- Job Shadowing
- College Visits
- Meetings with Prospective Employers
- Job Fairs
These services and training programs lead to industry-recognized credentials, excellent employment opportunities, and young people who are ready to become future leaders in our community.
If you know of a young person who could benefit from the program, they can apply here: Apply to YouthBuild
If you would like to become a mentor and help YouthBuild develop the next generation of leaders in NKY, you can apply here: Become a Mentor
At Browne we believe in building stronger more resilient communities. This December, we’d like to publicly thank the team at NKCAC for their hard work across our community and specifically for bringing the YouthBuild program to the young people of Northern Kentucky.
