Congratulations to Amped and the launch of their new Technology and Learning Center! What an exciting way to wrap up 2025!

The Browne team is proud to have been part of such an important and inspiring project in our community. For those of you who may not be familiar with AMPED, they are one of the most innovative nonprofits in the country. AMPED is a Black-led nonprofit based in Louisville, KY, that uses music, tech, and business to build generational wealth through free education, workforce training, and business incubation.

With the launch of this new building, Amped will be able to double the number of kids they serve. That means a greater impact on our community that translates into real-world success stories. Here are just a few examples:

  • Over 90% of Amped Music Academy students have higher math and reading scores than their peers.
  • Average annual pay for those placed in new roles is $43,279, above the “Good Jobs” threshold for the area.

The new three-story building has classrooms, meeting rooms, and offices, but will also be a permanent home for the Melanaire Market, a boutique for black-owned vendors.

In addition to thanking everyone on the team and a host of other creative designers of building amenities who made this inspiring project possible, we’d like to offer a special thank you to Carl Satterwhite of RCF Group, and Cody Holland of Creative Studios. They came in once the construction piece was completed and transformed this building into a place filled with warmth and character. “This is the part of the project that I enjoy the most,” says Eric Browne, CEO of Browne Engineering and Construction Services. “Those two do amazing work, and we were thankful to have them on our team!”

Browne is a registered Engineering and construction services firm in the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, overseeing the planning, design, and construction of projects from beginning to end.
